The race was hard and easy at the same time. For 90mins I only averaged 262 watts. that said the course was pretty tough for me as the 1.1 mile loop rectangle had an up and down hill on both the straighaways. so if I was pedaling I was pushing retty hard. I manged to basically do the same thing as yesterday. Start good, fade and then tailgun (and I mean I was really punching tickets back there as folks were getting poped,, I'd come right around and stay connected). I was able to manage back there and recover.

Again with 5 laps to go I made a strong move as the pack slowed and moved into about 30th osition and slowing moved up through the next couple laps.In the 2nd to last corner we were cooking and again two guys bumped each other as I was moving up and totaly killed my momentum. I placed maybe in the top 25 this time. and was pleased that I finished and had the legs to power through the field towards the end.

FYI: Wenger took a 2 lap flyer and was caught about 200meters from the finish. Dan Smatchs (sp) from BMC won. Phil W got 4-5th place.

I'm going to ride the get the blood moving before the race and nurse my hangover!
